Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and report key financial measures to guide decision-making.

  • Develop cost and pricing strategies across various products and markets.

  • Conduct detailed financial analyses supporting strategic initiatives and diverse business opportunities such as ventures, plant start-ups, consolidations, and new product offerings. Assess associated risks and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Evaluate financial and operational results and controls to optimize costs, budgets, trends, etc. Provide recommendations to enhance profit opportunities, asset utilization, etc., aiding effective planning.

  • Analyze and recommend financial opportunities and risks.

  • Administer, evaluate, and improve the business’ financial systems and controls, encompassing Activity Based Management, Financial Evaluation System, planning, and reporting processes.

  • Direct and hold overall supervisory responsibility for the Assistant Controller.

  • Assist in developing pricing and providing cost estimates for all customer product quotations. Ensure alignment of product financial evaluations with established company financial mandates.

  • Offer technical advice to operational and departmental managers based on accounting reports and statements, taking necessary financial actions.

  • Oversee compliance with financial regulations, ensuring adherence across all aspects.

  • Perform essential duties supporting business objectives, including ensuring full compliance of facilities with safety regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions, and standards, aligning with ISO/IATF systems.

Requirements of the job:

  • Six years of experience with at least three years in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental accounting and finance principles, including operations controlling systems, cost estimating systems, financial measurement and evaluation techniques, and product pricing/market strategies within a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience in departmental administration, including supervision of other employees.

  • Strong analytical, evaluation, and leadership skills, capable of effectively communicating a vision, educating teams, and influencing decisions.

  • Working knowledge of financial and non-financial measurement systems, lean manufacturing practices, and cost management systems strongly preferred.

  • Capability to establish goals and guide strategic and operational planning in the finance organization.
